The FoilHive Aluminium Mast is the vertical backbone of your setup — 6061 aluminium, 80 cm length.
What it does
The mast connects your board to the rest of the foil, setting how high above the water you ride. At 80 cm it's the standard length for kite foil, wing foil, and SUP/surf foil across most riders and conditions.

Why aluminium
6061 aircraft-grade aluminium gives a strong, serviceable mast at subscription-friendly pricing. It's more forgiving on impacts than full-carbon masts, repairs are simpler, and the ride flex suits most freeride and progression riders.

Included with your subscription
Protective cover, INOX stainless steel screws & bolts kit. Full-set subscriptions also include a foil bag. A board is not included. Most riders already own one. Built, repaired, and fulfilled from FoilHive's own factory and warehouse in Tarifa, Spain — shipped across Europe.
Common questions
Why aluminium and not carbon?
Aluminium is the right starting mast for everyone learning, and stays the right mast for many riders who don't ride on the edge. The flex is barely noticeable at beginner and intermediate speeds; the cost saving (versus carbon) is significant; and aluminium handles impact better. Carbon makes a real difference at advanced speeds and pumping cadence, not before.
What is the mast length and material?
80 cm length, 6061 aluminium with a hardened anodised finish. Length is the most common wing-foil and kite-foil starting point. Compatible with every wing and fuselage in the FoilHive range, you don't need to rethink the mast when you swap a wing.
Is the mast included in a complete subscription?
Most riders subscribe to a full kit (mast + fuselage + front wing + tail wing) and the mast is one of the four components billed monthly. You can also subscribe to a mast on its own for €21/month if you already own the rest of a setup.
What about mast hardware and bolts?
Every mast ships with an INOX stainless-steel screws and bolts kit. Stainless is non-negotiable around saltwater. Lost or corroded bolts are covered under FoilCare and replaced when the mast cycles back through Tarifa for inspection.

FoilCare Protection
Every membership includes FoilCare damage protection at no extra cost. Normal wear and riding damage is covered, scratches, chips, minor cracks from regular use. All repairs done in-house at our Tarifa factory.

Shipping & Swaps
We ship every Tuesday from our warehouse in Tarifa, Spain (next working day if Tuesday is a Spanish public holiday). Typical delivery 3–5 working days from dispatch. Shipping rates vary by destination and already cover your eventual return. Swap gear as your skills progress.
