The Osprey 2250 is the biggest carbon front wing in the FoilHive lineup — 2250 cm² of surface for heavy riders or the lightest wind days you'll actually ride.

- Heavy riders (90+ kg) learning or progressing on kite / wing foil
- All riders on the lightest wind days (8–14 knots) when smaller wings won't lift

Why this size
2250 cm² is about maximum lift at minimum speed. The 9.9 aspect ratio and 1500 mm span give it surprising glide for its size — so it's a large wing that still feels efficient once you're foiling. If you're 90+ kg or your home spot is often under 12 knots, this is the one.

The Osprey 2250 (2250 cm², AR 9.9) suits 90+ kg light wind / 75-90 kg very light wind. Typical wind range: lightest available wind, 8-14 kt. Mid-aspect freeride. Forgiving, lifts early, predictable carve. Default recommendation for most progressing riders.
Is the Osprey 2250 good for beginners?
Beginners should start on the largest wing they can fit their conditions, since lift-off is easier and mistakes cost less time in the water. This is one of the larger wings in the range and is well suited to early progression sessions.
What tail wing pairs with the Osprey 2250?
Most riders pair the Osprey 2250 with a Stab 220 (low-speed lift, easiest to learn on) or a Stab 180 Carve (more turning feel) for general use. The Stab 180 Glide pairs well for downwind and high-aspect setups, while the Stab 145 or 130 Carve pair with smaller, faster front wings for advanced freeride and surf.
Can I swap the Osprey 2250 for a different size?
Yes. Subscriptions include free swaps via Gear Swap, post your current piece by Monday and the new piece ships Tuesday from our Tarifa workshop. There is no resale or repurchase, you just change what you ride. FoilCare protection covers normal wear so swap returns are straightforward.

We ship every Tuesday from our warehouse in Tarifa, Spain (next working day if Tuesday is a Spanish public holiday). Typical delivery 3–5 working days from dispatch. Shipping rates vary by destination and already cover your eventual return. Swap gear as your skills progress.
