The Stingray 430 is the smallest, fastest surf wing in the Stingray line — tight, high-speed, advanced.

Who it's for

  • Advanced surf foilers wanting their smallest carving wing
  • Prone foilers chasing high-speed turns in quality waves
  • Lighter riders in fast, overhead swell

Why this size

430 cm² at AR 6.8 is a performance surf weapon. The 537 mm span and thin 11.2 mm profile deliver sharp response and top-end speed. Definitely not a learning wing — this is the one you graduate to after mastering the 630.

Common questions

Who is the Stingray 430 sized for?

The Stingray 430 (430 cm², AR 6.8) suits under 75 kg performance surf. Typical wind range: any wind, wave-driven. Low-aspect (6.8) surf-style. Roll-responsive, tighter turns, less raw glide. Built for wave riding and surf foiling, not flat-water learning.

Is the Stingray 430 good for beginners?

Beginners should start on the largest wing they can fit their conditions, since lift-off is easier and mistakes cost less time in the water. This wing rewards skill more than it forgives errors. Start on a larger Osprey (1850 or 2250) and size down to this once you're consistent.

What tail wing pairs with the Stingray 430?

Most riders pair the Stingray 430 with a Stab 220 (low-speed lift, easiest to learn on) or a Stab 180 Carve (more turning feel) for general use. The Stab 180 Glide pairs well for downwind and high-aspect setups, while the Stab 145 or 130 Carve pair with smaller, faster front wings for advanced freeride and surf.

Can I swap the Stingray 430 for a different size?

Yes. Subscriptions include free swaps via Gear Swap, post your current piece by Monday and the new piece ships Tuesday from our Tarifa workshop. There is no resale or repurchase, you just change what you ride. FoilCare protection covers normal wear so swap returns are straightforward.
